At an elevation of approximately 3600 feet, Pollock Pines rises above much of the oppressive heat of Sacramento and the rest of the central valley. A small, scenic town, it is a favorite vacation spot and stop-over for skiers on their way to Lake Tahoe.

In addition to fine vacation homes, cabins, and year round residences, Pollock Pines attracts many buyers because land is still quite plentiful compared to Sacramento County, and even compared to western El Dorado County.
