Pollock Pines Homes and Land
Pollock Pines homes are still are fairly affordable compared to El Dorado homes
that are closer to Sacramento. Because of this and the natural splendor of the
area, more and more people are making the somewhat challenging commute to
Sacramento. In spite of this slight population increase, Pollock Pines still
retains its pristine wilderness areas and small town charm.
Pollock Pines is a picturesque small community nestled among dense groves of
cedars, oaks, and -- of course -- lots and lots of tall, fragrant pines! At an
elevation of approximately 3600 feet, Pollock Pines rises above much of
the oppressive heat of Sacramento and the rest of the central valley. A
small, scenic town, it is a favorite vacation spot and stop-over for skiers on
their way to Lake Tahoe.
Pollock Pines is the home of the beautiful Sly Park on route 50. The park offers
camping, boating, picnicking, and swimming.
In addition to fine vacation homes, cabins, and year round residences, Pollock
Pines attracts many buyers because land is still quite plentiful compared to
Sacramento County, and even compared to western El Dorado County.
