Folsom, California Homes

Folsom Homes includes a great variety of homes from master planned communities to older homes in established neighborhoods near downtown. Single family Folsom homes begin in the mid to upper two-hundred thousand dollar price range, comparing quite favorably to nearby El Dorado County.

The "gateway to the Sierras," Folsom is located just twenty miles east of Sacramento, and is the easternmost city in Sacramento County.

An exciting and growing city, Folsom is a great place to live not only because of it's proximity to Sacramento, but also because of its strong business community. Chief among local businesses is Intel Corporation, with roughly 7,500 local employees. Folsom is home to offices of other major businesses as well such as Verizon Wireless OSI (Objective Systems Integrators), and next to high tech companies in El Dorado Hills as well.

In addition to being a strong residential and commercial center, Folsom is also a great place to play. Folsom's outstanding Folsom State Recreation Area boasts over 1800 acres that are enjoyed by boaters, hikers, and equestrians alike. Cyclists particularly enjoy the 32 miles of bicycle trails. Folsom is also home to many great shopping centers, from outlet stores to auto malls -- and my wife is especially pleased that we no longer need go all the way to Rancho Cordova to get to Costco.

Folsom really seems to have it all.
