Foreclosure Procedure (Trustee Sale)
California Civil Code Section defines and regulates the activity of foreclosure consultants. 2920-2944.5 outline the procedure for a non-judicial foreclosure, the more common type of foreclosure used in California.

Foreclosure Consultants
California Civil Code Section 2945-2945.11 defines and regulates the activity of foreclosure consultants. 2945.1.b(3) in particular offers a sort of "limited exemption" for Real Estate agents.

Equity Purchasers
California Civil Code Section 1695-1695.17 defines equity purchasers and sellers and lists the disclosures that must be given to the seller and the cancellation period that applies, as well as specific disclosures that real estate agents must provide.
