Hi, John Lockwood here.

I'm CEO and Broker of Record of John Lockwood associates. I was a real estate agent for several years -- first with ERA Realty Center and later with REMAX Gold -- before becoming a broker. I became a broker because I thought my my clients would be well served if I mastered additional specialized knowledge for the broker's license. Having taken that step, eventually it was inevitable that I would strike out on my own, so in 2006 I incorporated John Lockwood Associates as an independent real estate brokerage.

My own "specialty" and passion is providing outstanding information and service to clients on the Internet. Before getting into real estate, I was a software developer and contract software programmer. Since getting into the business, I've continued a passion for developing user friendly web sites. I'm the author of this Sacramento Real Estate site and many other web sites throughout El Dorado County, Placer County, and (most recently) the East Bay. We passed the 50,000 unique visitors per month mark some time ago, and somewhere along the line I stopped counting. This means that if you're a seller and want your home listed by someone who's marketing plan doesn't start and stop with the MLS and a yard sign, we should talk.
