[Sing song voice...] I’m going to win a prize, I’m going to..
…win a prize!
From the good people at Sacramento Landing.
Here’s the offer:
“Change? Adjust? Shift? First Realtor capable of uttering the “D” words (decline, decrease, drop) gets a prize!” (See here.)
And my response collecting my prize:
Really, I get a prize do I? Well let’s hope it’s not something cheap! I could use a new cross pen for my buyers to sign purchase agreements — the black satin finished ones are pretty affordable.
“Prices were down substantially from last year in all categories. Prices declined:…” etc. (From here)
“As a result, when we look at average square footage, we no longer find appreciation. Instead, we find a significant drop — of 23.4%, from November to November.” (From here).
At the same time, unit volume [in Granite Bay] decreased 47.2%, from 36 units last September to 19 units this September. (From here)
Etc. etc. etc. Hopefully three quotes is enough to prove it, and I won’t have to send in any box tops or anything.

John, go get ‘em! Its hard to be the voice of reason in the anti housing blogs!..
The facts always get twisted to support their story.

Thanks for the encouragement and for stopping by.
Actually Lander seems to be a pretty nice guy, and I appreciate his generous links in and comments on my blog.
I had some run-ins with many others in that general crowd, though. I won’t characterize them here because I prefer to leave the mischaracterizations of the “opposing” side to them. Actually, as I point out in showing how I’ve told the truth about the market, even the choice of the word “opposing” is a mischaracterization.

John-
Now I would really be impressed if the MSM quoted you using those words. In lieu of fruitcake (because I’m too cheap to buy some and I’m too lazy to make some –just ask Landette), how about the gift that keeps on giving? Yes, that’s right, a place on the much-coveted (by some) blog roll of Sacramento Land(ing) for that shiny new El Dorado blog of yours. Normally I charge $19.95, but I’ll waive that fee just for you. Of course, I’ll expect a nice kickback for the huge increase of business that will provide you
Then again, more “barbarians at the gate” might not be your idea of a prize!
Thanks for the laughs. I’m quite impressed you used those terms, and I didn’t even have to “beg” this time around

I’ll take it! That’s even better than a fruitcake…
