Set the PACE, win the Race

There is an inside joke among Realtors® which goes, "It's Real Estate, not Rocket Surgery." Sure, there are lots of complexities to the paperwork, but we typically master a lot of this within a few months on the job. Most of the rest of the job is just riding herd on details and communicating with buyers, sellers, and all the members of the team that make things happen like lenders, title company folks, inspectors, etc. It's sometimes difficult due to the emotions involved and the time crunch, but it's generally not "complex" in the sense of being hard to figure out.

Real Estate being fairly simple, it stands to reason that we should be able to express the elements of a successful sale in an easy to understand way. That's exactly what we've tried to do in our PACE model for the sale of a home. We've taken the basic ingredients of a successful sale and boiled it down to an acronym. If you put these four things together, your sale will be successful. To learn more about each of the elements, simply click on the words. Our winning acronym is:

  • Price. First and foremost. Price is King.
  • Agent. The right one can help tremendously.
  • Condition. Showcase the home for faster sale and more money.
  • Exposure. Last, but certainly not least.

Simply implement these four details flawlessly, and your home will sell. Conversely, if your listing has expired, something, or several things, in this list will hold the reason.
